Rwenzori animal rescue and care

This is a nonprofit community based organization operating in Kasese District since
2023 aiming at rescuing and caring for animals that have been abandoned, bused,
strayed or neglected. It has an office located in Nyamwamba division, Kanyangeya
ward, Saluti B near Airfield.
The CBO engages in the following; saving animals from dangerous situations, offering
animal’s safe environment, improving animal’s physical and emotional health and
animal welfare.
People in Kasese district are keeping the following animals in their homes or farms;
cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, fish, dogs, birds, donkeys, horses and rabbits. Some of these
animals are neglected therefore they need to rescued and cared for better performance
in the farms and homes.
The farmers or pet owners and cattle traders in Kasese have issues in animal welfare
and care especially in the areas of nutrition, shelter, health care, socialization, animal
transportation, exercise and stimulation.

Rwenzori Animal Rescue And Care (RAREC) is dedicated to provide shelter,
rehabilitation, medical treatment and educate community to protect all animals from life
